Summer Holiday Playschemes
The summer holiday playschemes take place in various KAL sites. If you want to attend then please fill in the registration form below. Please click on the image next to the centre's name to find out information about the summer holiday playschemes at that centre.

Children taking part in the summer holiday playschemes can enjoy activities such as swimming, climbing, team games, football, wii, trampolining, arts and crafts, cricket and dance mats sessions and much more. They are for children aged four upwards. Huddersfield Sports Centre's playscheme can take children from the September after their fifth birthday.
Most playschemes need to booked in advance, please download the registration form and take into the centre to confirm your place.

Get into Sport
Why not try something different this summer? Free or low-cost (£1) sport sessions take place throughout the summer at various sites, from basketball to cheerleading, from mini moovers to urban street dance.

Summer Swimming
During school holidays there are lots of extra swim sessions for you to enjoy.

We run a range of courses including football, tennis, multisports, climbing and swimming. Why not learn a new skill or improve an aspect of your favourite sport?
Tennis
Tennis courses at Batley Sports & Tennis Centre run from July 25th - Aug 18th from 10am - 1pm from Monday - Thursday for U8s and 8-16s.
£15 per day or £45 for 4 days.

Football
Football development courses at Batley Sports & Tennis Centre, Dewsbury Sports Centre, and Whitcliffe Mount Sports Centre

Huddersfield Sport Centre is offering summer climbing crash courses as follows:
Week-long courses for 6 - 11year olds, and 11 - 18 year olds, £38.40.

Colne Valley Leisure Centre
RLSS Lifeguard Course at Colne Valley Leisure Centre starting the 21st July lasting for 5 days with a final exam on the 25th July. Course is open to anyone over 16 and will cost £227.50. Contact Colne Valley Leisure Centre on (01484) 222522 to book or for more information.

SHOKK Dance Mats
Whitcliffe Mount and Dewsbury sports centres have fantastic interactive SHOKK dance mats and other SHOKK activity equipment such as:
- climbing wall
- target wall
- wushu
to get you moving. The flashing lights and thumping sound systems make you feel as though you are in a computer game. This is exercise but not as you know it!
Colne Valley Leisure Centre in Slaithwaite and Deighton Sports Arena will also be running interactive dance mats classes through the summer holidays.

Whitcliffe Mount Sports Centre runs Dance Mats sessions every Thursday from 4 - 5pm
Check out Dewsbury Sports Centre's funky SHOKK Gym for kids between the age of eight and thirteen. The specialist equipment is safe and fun for children and all sessions are supervised.
Sessions run throughout the summer holidays.

Sure Start Fun and Fit event Tuesday August 23rd, 1pm until 5pm, for families with children.FREE event will include gymnastics, bouncy castle, soft play, healthy eating stalls and the theme is dance. A qualified instructor will teach children and their families different dance styles.
