A special Bodycombat class to support Help For Heroes took place at Colne Valley Leisure Centre on Thursday 25th November.

The Combat Class itself managed to raise £400 as each participant paid £5 to attend the class. There were several collection tins placed around site in an attempt to raise even more money for the charity. The collection tins should be staying out for another week so, if you missed the event you still have an opportunity to hep us raise funds for the Charity!

We are hoping to have raised around £600 for Help the Heroes.

Money raised for Help For Heroes goes towards making grants that aim to provide practical and direct support for our war wounded.

BodyCombat is a cardio workout programme inspired by martial arts and draws a wide range of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay tai.

Stephen Knight, Operations Manager at Colne Valley Leisure Centre said: "Our customers have really taken to BodyCombat since we launched it two months ago, so it was the perfect class to use as a fundraiser for a great cause like Help for Heroes.

We are happy to annonce that the BodyCombat class was very successful and are thankful to everyone who took part in the fund raising event.
