BODY CLOCKERS
Hi guys sorry I’ve been away, busy getting Kirklees fit, but I’m back just in time with an early winter warmer!
As the clocks go back, we all feel it; the days get shorter, workloads increase,
the roads and shops get busier and our social lives become that little more hectic. When this time of year arrives, motivation to hit the gym after work begins to fade, and the excuses mount, but remember the clocks have only gone back, they haven’t stopped.
I change my workouts to early morning sessions, and then it’s DONE.
Set yourself a goal, at least one morning a week, get up early and hit the gym before work. Swap burning calories on the treadmill in the evening for burning coals on the fire, with your feet up in front of the TV, safe in the knowledge that your daily exercise is done.
Hot Tips:
- Pack your gym bag the night before
- Move your alarm clock away from the bed so you have to get up to stop it… you’re up, no more rolling over and hitting snooze.
- Grab a black coffee for a pre-workout caffeine boost
Advantages of A.M. training:
- Triggers a healthy mindset for the day
- Kick starts your metabolism, so you will burn more calories during the day
- Exercise releases ‘endorphins’ the body’s natural feel good chemicals, boosting your mood for the day
- A sense of accomplishment before the days even begun
- Enjoy evening activities guilt free
Turn yourself into a lean mean early morning machine!
If you need that extra push, come and join in one of our morning fitness classes.
Kelly :)
