Who are Kirklees Active Leisure?

Kirklees Active Leisure (KAL) is the charitable trust which manages 11 major sports centres and swimming pools on behalf of Kirklees Council. KAL’s vision is to get more people, more active, more often. We are dedicated to increasing the number of people taking part in sport, active recreation and wider physical activity through responding to the needs of the local community and providing a dynamic and excellent value for money service.

How do I find my nearest Leisure Centre?

How do I find out what activities are available and the cost?

The ‘I’m looking for’ section on the right hand side of the homepage allows you to search for activities using seven options including searching by price and time.

How can I book a facility?

You are able to book a facility with KAL by ringing or visiting the respective centre, smaller bookings i.e. badminton or 5-a-side require payment at the time of booking, whilst booking a facility for a function requires a deposit at the initial stage.

How do I become a 'more' member?

Simply visit a centre and the receptionists will be more than happy to deal with an enquiry or sign you up if you wish to join. Alternatively you can ring the membership sales team on 01484 414 932 to arrange a site tour before making your decision.

Do I have to be a member to use a Centre?

No membership is required to use our centres, you may pay as you go using the Pay n Play scheme. We recommend that classes are booked in advance in order to avoid disappointment.

Where are your vacancies advertised?

How do I make a comment about the service I’ve received?                                          

You may comment on KAL’s service by completing a customer comment form either with contact details or anonymously, these are available at our centres reception desks. Alternatively you may contact Head Office on 01484 234100 or via email info@kirkleesactive.co.uk
