SHOKK Gym

• The SHOKK Activity Areas have new interactive products including wireless dance mats and thumping sound system at Whitcliffe Mount Sports Centre and Dewsbury Sports Centre.

• A further set have been loaned to each School Sport Partnership in Kirklees and are currently visiting each school.

• No ordinary pieces of equipment, SHOKK offer a concept that has been specifically designed to engage and challenge all young people.  Using the most up-to-date technology, SHOKK equipment gets users exercising without them even realising it, which keeps them motivated and interested in activity.

• The equipment at Whitcliffe Mount Sports Centre includes a revolutionary Wireless Dance System, Traverse horizontal climbing wall, target wall, SHOKK Wushu martial arts tower and Vew-Do balance boards.

• There is similar equipment at Dewsbury Sports Centre along with SHOKK gym kit.

• The kit is part of a £¼m project funded by NHS Kirklees to encourage children, young people and adults to try new activities and become fitter. The project began at Whitcliffe Mount Sports Centre and has now been extended throughout the community. Click here for launch news.
